Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele night shift position requiring an active OH or compact state license, recent telemetry experience, and Epic proficiency.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

• Work in a Med/Surg Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule, three 12-hour shifts from 7:00pm to 7:30am
• Care for adult medical-surgical patients requiring telemetry monitoring
• Epic EMR is used and prior Epic experience is required
• Required to work at least every other holiday
• Core responsibilities include delivering direct patient care to Med/Surg Telemetry patients and documenting in Epic
• ECG rhythm and SafeMedicate competency assessments must be passed during orientation
• Permanent and per diem candidates may not return to facility for one year after their last assignment
• Badging and fingerprinting must be completed onsite before start date
• Pre-start and annual online modules must be completed as required by specialty
• PAPRs are not allowed except with approved medical or religious exemption for caregivers with facial hair
• Nurses are currently exempt from nicotine screening requirements
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers

\n \n Requirements\n

• Active permanent Ohio RN license or compact state license required at time of consideration
• A minimum of 18 months recent permanent Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience is required
• Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications are required, with NIH Stroke Scale certification needed prior to start
• Epic EMR experience required
• At least one recent supervisory reference in the Med/Surg Tele specialty is required for consideration
• Applicants must pass ECG rhythm recognition and SafeMedicate assessments during orientation
• No open background check cases or license issues are accepted
