Job Description
Summary : This role requires a detail-oriented and organized individual to manage the flow of materials and finished goods within a manufacturing facility. The role involves coordinating inbound and outbound logistics, ensuring accurate documentation, maintaining inventory control, and supporting the timely delivery of products to customers. Collaboration with various departments, such as production, materials, and customer service, is essential to optimize shipping and receiving processes and maintain a smooth workflow.

- Plans day to day allocations of loader/crane operators to efficiently, safely, and costs effectively achieve performance targets as agreed upon with Management.
- Documents daily shipping and receiving activities accurately and reviews results against established targets and report variances.
- Completes incoming inspection testing, confirmation of certificate of conformance and reconciliation of receiving/purchase documentation.
- Reviews the daily shipping log out of SAP to ensure accuracy.
- Schedules and documents all incoming and outgoing loads working closely with all distribution centers, Corporate Logistics, and transportation companies to ensure the time and cost-effective movement of goods.
- Emails customer service representatives and accounting (A/P and A/R) freight rates as soon as they are received.
- Emails freight carriers shipment information by the end of each day
- Ensure focused improvement tools are effectively utilized in all problem solving situations to address root causes of failures and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Works closely with customer service to ensure all loads, deliveries, and freight costs have been communicated to the customer so the customer is aware of price and order updates.
- Performs general housekeeping, maintenance and organization of the dock and inventory areas; includes hands-on cleaning and maintenance along with organization and interpersonal skills to coordinate with other department and outside waste disposal vendor.
- Distributes documentation, including transfer of all original documents, to purchasing supervisor for distribution.
- Organizes and files all paperwork for all receipts and all shipments; this includes bills of lading as well as any other documentation used by the shipping and receiving coordinator in order to complete the aforementioned shipping documentation.
- Scans signed bills of ladings immediately upon receiving.
- Follow the Group Code of Conduct and Group Compliance Policy (applicable section 2.1-2.4) along with other applicable company policies.
- All other duties assigned as required.
Education/Experience: - High school diploma.
- At least 3-5 years in manufacturing environment specifically in shipping and receiving.
- Preferred Education and Experience
- Must know how to use a computer, microsoft, SAP, and other relevant software
- Forklift experience.
Competencies & Skills: - Must have technical capabilities
- Must have strong communication skills (with colleagues and customers)
- Must have strong organizational and time management skills
- Must be proficient in keeping shipping logs, SAP delivery tickets
- Must ensure profit on freight when processing for delivery
Physical Demands: - While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours: This is a full-time position. Hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., 40 hours per week.
