Job Description

Robert Half Talent Solutions is looking for an IT Support Specialist on behalf of a Columbus, OH client. This role is looking for someone with proven experience supporting macOS devices in a managed enterprise environment. The ideal candidate will bring a customer-focused approach to technical support and troubleshooting, ensuring smooth operations and minimal downtime across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for macOS devices, including setup, configuration, and ongoing issue resolution within a managed environment.
  • Perform basic break/fix tasks such as hardware diagnosis and repairs, peripheral installations, and resolving common user issues.
  • Set up new computers by installing operating systems, configuring software, and ensuring all devices meet company security and compliance standards.
  • Execute password resets and user account management activities in accordance with internal policies.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, leveraging remote support tools and ticketing systems to document and resolve problems.
  • Collaborate with IT team members to ensure consistent delivery of support services and escalate complex issues as needed.
  • Maintain clear and professional communication with end-users while providing training on IT procedures and best practices.
  • Stay current with new macOS features, updates, and security requirements to provide effective endpoint support.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience supporting macOS in a managed environment is required.
  • Experience with basic break/fix, new device setup, account management, and general troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with endpoint management tools (such as JAMF, Intune, or similar) is preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team setting.
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer service mindset.
