Equal Opportunity and Title IX Compliance Investigator Georgia Gwinnett College (GGC) invites applications for a campus full‑time Equal Opportunity and Title IX Compliance Investigator. The position, located in Gwinnett County, is a regular, full‑time role focused on investigating allegations of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and institutional policies, and delivering campus‑wide training. Job Summary The Investigator assists the Office of Equal Opportunity and Title IX Compliance in efforts to investigate allegations of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation, including violations of Title VI, Title VII, and Title IX. The role manages programs, policies, and practices to monitor and ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and rules, and develops and delivers training related to EEO, discrimination, Title IX, and VAWA. The position is designated as Campus Security Authority (CSA) and reports crimes to the Clery Act Compliance Officer. Responsibilities Conduct a prompt, equitable, and impartial administrative investigation of alleged discrimination and harassment, acting as a neutral investigator. Assist in conducting intake investigation interviews and develop an investigation plan, interview complainants and respondents, identify witnesses, collect evidence, document findings, analyze information, and write investigation reports. Perform administrative duties supporting triage and initial intake investigation, organizing and maintaining documentation. Issue a written report setting forth charges and possible sanctions, explaining evidence against the respondent. Develop, promote, and deliver campus‑wide training related to equal opportunity, sexual misconduct prevention, and Title IX compliance, maintaining training records, and coordinating compliance with ADA/Section 504. Assist in responding to inquiries and complaints for students, faculty, staff, administrators, and third parties regarding EEO, harassment, and Title IX violations. Assist in administrative duties of the Equal Opportunity & Title IX Office, including filing, requisitions, budget review, and purchasing. Other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree (4‑year). 1‑3 years of Title IX and equal opportunity‑related investigation experience, or investigate/legal background in lieu of work experience. Preferred Qualifications ATIXA Level II or higher civil rights investigator training. Demonstrated knowledge of nondiscrimination laws and compliance regulations related to Titles VI, VII, and IX, VAWA, FERPA, and other applicable laws. Background in conducting Title IX, civil rights, or similar investigations and knowledge of complexities in an academic setting. Experience developing and conducting trainings. Proposed Salary $56,800 – $71,000 per year, dependent on experience, qualifications, internal equity, budget, and salary administration guidelines.
