About the Role

Decision Business Services LLC is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeper with 2–4 years of full-cycle accounting experience and strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO). The ideal candidate will manage day-to-day accounting functions, ensure accuracy across financial reports, and support month-end and year-end closings.

Note that this is a 1099 position.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform full-cycle bookkeeping including Accounts Payable (A/P), Accounts Receivable (A/R), payroll processing, and reconciliations
• Record journal entries, manage vendor bills, and issue customer invoices
• Conduct bank and credit card reconciliations monthly
• Maintain accurate general ledger and ensure transactions are properly categorized
• Prepare and review financial statements (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
• Handle QuickBooks clean-ups, catch-ups, and audit preparation
• Support CPA or CFO with tax filings, audits, and financial reviews
• Monitor outstanding invoices and ensure timely collections
• Process employee expense reports and reimbursements
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting support as needed

Required Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting
• Proficient in QuickBooks Online (Desktop experience a plus)
• Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles
• Experience with payroll systems (Gusto, ADP, QuickBooks Payroll, etc.)
• Strong Excel and data-entry skills
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple accounts simultaneously
• MUST be bilingual English/Spanish

Preferred Skills

• Experience with multiple-entity accounting or construction/service industry bookkeeping
• Familiarity with sales tax, 1099s, and financial audits
• Comfortable working with cloud-based accounting tools (Hubdoc, Dext, Bill.com, etc.)
