Job Summary and Qualifications

The Clinical Informaticist is responsible for supporting the implementation of, and providing ongoing support for corporate/division/facility-wide standardization, utilization, integration and optimization activities related to the electronic health record and other clinically related technologies. Responsible for coordination, support and completion of project assessments, project advancements, parameter settings, workflow mapping, tools and resources focused on Clinical Informatics’ initiatives including, but not limited to, provider order entry and documentation, standard clinical documentation, Meaningful Use, and other technology that supports clinician workflow. This person will participate in the company-wide community of Informatics by working with director of clinical informatics and facility peers to ensure clinical applications are well-supported throughout the facility.

• Understands pertinent regulatory guidelines such as Joint Commission, HIPAA, etc… 
• Demonstrated ability to establish and build strong relationships across a broad range of personality types 
• Ability to communicate effectively with clinical and information technology personnel verbally and in writing 
• Excellent and leadership and teaching abilities 
• Must be a motivator 
• Ability to communicate with staff at all levels of the practice

What qualifications you will need:

• Active RN license required, BSN preferred 
• Minimum 1-3 years of clinical experience in an acute care hospital setting 
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in Clinical/Healthcare Informatics, clinical application support, or equivalent preferred 
• Meditech/EPIC/Expanse experience strongly preferred 
• Must have previous experience leading projections and implementation of supportive technology
