LanceSoft is seeking a Nurse Practitioner Neonatology for a per diem / prn job in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Locum Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) – Pittsburgh, PA

Facility Locations:

• Pittsburgh, PA (Level III NICU, 63 beds)
• Jefferson Hills, PA (Level II NICU, 40 beds)
• Wexford, PA (Level II NICU, bed count TBD)

Contract Type: Locum Tenens
Start Date: June 2025

 

Position Highlights:

• Shifts: 3 x 12-hour shifts per week (mix of days, nights, and some 24-hour shifts required)

• Weekend Requirement: 48 weekend daytime hours per 8-week block

   

• Shift Times:
  • Pittsburgh: 6:30 AM – 6:30 PM / 6:30 PM – 6:30 AM / 24-hour shifts
  • Jefferson Hills: 7:00 AM or 7:00 PM starts / 24-hour shifts

Support Structure:

• Pittsburgh: On-site physician and multiple APPs 24/7
• Jefferson & Wexford: Daytime physician coverage (in-person or telemedicine), overnight telemedicine physician support

Candidate Requirements:

• Credentials:
  • Board Certified Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C)
  • Active Pennsylvania license – required
  • BLS and NRP certification – required

• Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in NICU (Level III/IV preferred)
  • Strong procedural competency required

   

• Additional Requirements:
  • PA Child Abuse clearance (including fingerprinting)
  • Willingness to work day/night/24-hour shifts as needed

Compensation:

Providers Within 50 Miles:

• Hourly: $160 – $180
• Holiday Rate: 1.5x hourly rate
• Orientation: Paid at regular hourly rate
• 24-hour shift: Hourly rate x 24

Providers Outside 50 Miles (Includes Travel Expenses):

• Hourly: $195 – $215
• Holiday Rate: 1.5x hourly rate
• Orientation: Paid at regular hourly rate
• 24-hour shift: Hourly rate x 24

• Confirmation of procedural competency and NICU level experience
