Key Job Responsibilities

Transports patients safely between departments using wheelchairs as appropriate.

Utilizes patient safety criteria and correct patient handoff processes.

Ensures that patient is comfortable during the transporting process.

Provides assistance to patient, family and health care staff as needed.

Places equipment not in use in assigned location and ensures equipment is clean and in proper working order.

Physical Requirements

The physical activities of this position may include pushing, standing, hearing, walking, reaching, grasping, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive motion.

Must have good balance and coordination.

The physical requirements of this position are: medium work.

Frequent non-invasive patient contact.

Ability to react quickly to emergency situations.
