About the role

The ideal candidate will be

• Detail-Oriented: Ensures accuracy in reconciliations, entries, and reporting.
• Organized & Efficient: Able to manage multiple deadlines, especially during month-end close.
• Problem Solver: Comfortable investigating variances and resolving reconciliation issues.
• Process-Minded: Looks for ways to streamline tasks such as reconciliations and imports.
• Collaborative: Works well cross-functionally with finance, operations, and external vendors.
• Trustworthy & Discreet: Maintains confidentiality with sensitive financial data.

What you'll do

• Maintain accurate cash balances in NetSuite by importing bank activity.
• Maintain credit card balances in NetSuite by importing activity from card providers.
• Apply payments to open AR and AP accounts.
• Enter trade AP into bill.com and NetSuite.
• Support month-end close with:
• • Bank and credit card reconciliations.
  • AR and AP ending balance reconciliations.
  • Preparation and entry of other AP accruals.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 2 years of general accounting, including accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP).
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
• Systems & Tools:
• • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, reconciliations).
  • Hands-on experience with NetSuite (or similar ERP system).
  • Familiarity with bill.com and Ramp (or other expense management platforms).

Additional Info

• Starting pay is $30-$32/hour based on experience
• 16-20 hours per week
• This position is hybrid and requires working in our downtown San Diego office on Tuesdays and Thursdays
• Parking or transportation reimbursement is available when in office
• Catered lunches for in-office meeting days (once a month)
• Ideal start date is October 2025 or sooner if applicable
