Equal Opportunity Employer E-Verify Participant Drug-Free Workplace About The Role The purpose of this department is to complete background reports for clients who are specifically governed by the Nuclear Energy Institute (NEI) and Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC). This is an entry-level position. During training, employees are taught about the regulations this department follows. Knowledge and understanding of NEI, NRC, and local or federal laws regarding background investigations prior to application and/or acceptance of this role is not expected. This role engages in computer-based desk work, including but not limited to: taking inbound calls from employers, schools, military facilities, and personal character references of applicants, transferring those calls to employees processing reports, and transposing data into our system. This role plays an important part in ensuring we provide top-tier service to our clients and their applicants, all while supporting our Nuclear Department team. Working Schedule This is an in-office position FT/PT hours are based on season: Typical FT seasons are January-April and August-October; all other months are typically PT Typical working days: Monday — Friday, start times varying between 5:00 AM — 8:00 AM Over time and weekends may be required, dependent on staffing needs Compensation $17.50-$18.50 / hour Pay and title may be reviewed after 90 days of continuous employment, at the company’s discretion, based on performance and prior experience Benefits Available starting on the 1st of the month after your first 60 days: Health, Vision, and Dental insurance Supplemental Benefits from Aflac, Colonial, and/or State Farm Available after your 90-day introductory period: Accrued Leave (Vacation Paid Sick Leave) Seven paid holidays per year (New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Day after Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day) Two (2) Personal Days per year Flexible use of Unpaid Time-Off Duties & Responsibilities Transposition of data from Word and PDF documents, faxes, and emails Conduct phone-based verifications of employment, education, military service, and personal character references Detailed documentation of calls and actions taken on reports Ensure professionalism and confidentiality in all communications Identify and resolve inconsistencies Prompt adaptability to new procedures and policies (e.g., government, industry, company, and client requirements) Perform self-reviews to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance Other duties as assigned Skills & Qualifications Preferred experience in areas such as: Data Entry, Customer Service, Call Center, and Administration Knowledgeable computer skills including but not limited to: web navigation, basic computer file management, and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, etc.) Typing Speed: 50 WPM Able to maintain organized workflows while ensuring accuracy in all tasks Effective time-management skills with the ability to adapt to fluctuating workloads and priorities Resourceful problem-solver with strong critical-thinking abilities Open-minded and willing to adjust processes based on coaching and guidance Must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States About the Company Pinnacle Investigations provides prompt and precise reports to our clients regarding pre-employment, tenancy screenings, and criminal searches across a diverse range of industries.
