Positional Overview :

Join a fast-paced, collaborative mortgage team as a Mortgage Closing Specialist, where your attention to detail and communication skills will directly impact the success of each closing. In this role, you’ll serve as the key connection between internal teams and external partners—gathering critical documentation, verifying compliance, and driving timelines to meet target close dates. Role & Responsibility:

Tasks That Will Lead To Your Success :

• Assign pipeline reports to title reviewers, monitor the pipeline, and manage the title review inbox.
• Maintain clear communication with all parties involved in the loan closing process, including customers, brokers, settlement agents, and internal teams—to ensure a smooth closing experience.
• Leverage experience in loan closings, including CD preparation, to ensure accuracy and compliance in every transaction.
• Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to collect required documents and information such as payoffs, subordinations, taxes, title, and insurance.
• Review files for compliance with state and federal guidelines, including verifying employment and validating key documents.
• Track and follow up on rate lock and document expirations.
• Ensure accurate data is submitted for CD Issuance and proactively gather fee and contact details from settlement agents.
• Monitor closing timelines and communication changes as needed.
• Adhere to compliance and internal control standards, support a diverse work environment, and complete additional duties as assigned.

Skills & Experience

Qualifications That Will Help You Thrive

• Associate degree with 1+ year of mortgage industry experience, including loan closings and CD preparation, OR
• 3 years of combined education and/or work experience, including at least 1 year in mortgage loan closings.
• Proficient with spreadsheets, word processing, and email tools.
• Strong decision-making and time management abilities.
• Flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to prioritize tasks.
• Team player with a strong work ethic and reliability.

Education and Experience Preferred:

• Prior mortgage experience in mortgage closing, whether at a lender, title company, or settlement agent's office.
• Strong knowledge base of department software.
• Knowledge of product, investor, and compliance requirements.
