About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Marine Canvas Upholstery Technician to join our team at Legendary Marine in Destin, LMD. As a Marine Canvas Upholstery Technician, you will be responsible for creating and repairing canvas and upholstery products for boats and yachts. Your work will be crucial in ensuring the safety and comfort of our clients while they enjoy their time on the water. You will work closely with our team of professionals to ensure that all products meet our high standards of quality and craftsmanship.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 2 years of experience in marine canvas and upholstery
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in marine canvas and upholstery
• Experience with computer-aided design (CAD) software
• Experience with a variety of materials, including Sunbrella and vinyl
• Experience with boat and yacht electrical systems
• Experience with boat and yacht plumbing systems

Responsibilities:

• Create and repair canvas and upholstery products for boats and yachts
• Ensure that all products meet our high standards of quality and craftsmanship
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and preferences

Skills:

As a Marine Canvas Upholstery Technician, you will use your expertise in marine canvas and upholstery to create and repair products that meet our clients' needs. You will use your attention to detail to ensure that all products meet our high standards of quality and craftsmanship. You will collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects and maintain a clean and organized work area. You will also communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and preferences and use your problem-solving skills to find solutions that meet their requirements.
