About Us
We Rock the Spectrum is a kids’ gym that provides a safe, nurturing, and fun environment for children of all abilities. We are seeking an enthusiastic and patient Karate Instructor to lead classes that promote physical fitness, confidence, discipline, and inclusion for children of diverse needs and abilities.
Responsibilities
Lead engaging karate classes tailored to children of all abilities and skill levels.
Create lesson plans that focus on discipline, respect, self-control, and fun.
Ensure a safe and supportive environment for every child, including those with special needs.
Demonstrate and teach proper karate techniques, drills, and movements in an age-appropriate way.
Encourage participation, boost confidence, and celebrate each child’s progress.
Communicate effectively with parents and staff regarding class goals, expectations, and student development.
Assist with special events, demonstrations, or camps as needed.
Maintain a clean and organized training area.
Qualifications
Black Belt or equivalent certification in Karate (required).
Previous experience teaching or working with children (experience with children with special needs is a plus).
Strong communication, leadership, and motivational skills.
Patience, empathy, and enthusiasm for working in an inclusive environment.
Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of each child.
CPR/First Aid certification (preferred).
Schedule & Compensation
Flexible schedule (afternoons, evenings, and/or weekends).
Compensation based $18 dollars per hour. Looking to provide 2 classes per week (Monday and Wednesday), probably 3.
