Maarif School is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to help maintain the cleanliness and safety of our campus. As an integral member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring a welcoming, clean, and healthy environment for our students, staff, and visitors.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain the cleanliness and safety of classrooms, hallways, offices, and common areas.
• Perform daily cleaning tasks, including vacuuming, mopping, cleaning restrooms, dusting, and emptying trash cans.
• Regularly clean windows, shampoo carpets, and restock restroom supplies.
• Handle light maintenance tasks, such as replacing light bulbs and addressing minor repairs.
• Quickly and effectively manage spills and other hazards to ensure the safety of students and staff.
• Secure the building by locking doors and ensuring all areas are properly cleaned and organized at the end of the day.
• Carry and lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), such as trash bags, furniture, and cleaning equipment as needed.
• Report cleaning activities and notify management of any significant repairs or issues.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of janitorial experience, preferably in a school or similar environment.
• A valid driver’s license or reliable transportation.
• Familiarity with cleaning equipment, supplies, and safety practices.
• Excellent physical health and stamina to perform manual tasks, including carrying and lifting heavy items.
• A proactive attitude with strong attention to detail and a solid work ethic.
