Job Description

The grant-funded position aims to advance the SCC (Strengthening Community Colleges) Program's goal by focusing on serving older youth through an early college high school model. TCCs SCC3 project will create a pipeline to high-demand, high-wage engineering technology jobs, such as industrial maintenance technician, to address equity and skills gaps within Tulsa regions Advanced Manufacturing sector.

The grant manager will:

  1. Implement grant activities aligned with the project scope and targeted outcomes, including participation, completion, credential attainment, and employment, while ensuring compliance with college and grantor requirements.
  2. Manage the project timeline and submit reports and documentation by deadlines.
  3. Engage with external employer and industry partners in coordination with TCC administrators and faculty during pathway development, charter, and sustainability planning.
  4. Oversee the project budget, collaborating with Grant Accounting for reconciliation and financial reporting.
  5. Maintain accurate participant and grant documentation, including data collection on student progress, credentials, certifications, training completion, and employment.
  6. Lead communication efforts, maintaining scheduled contact and meetings with all grant participants.
  7. Participate in grant-related meetings to support communication of requirements across college departments and stakeholders.
  8. Supervise student support practices and testing administration to promote persistence and successful completion of education and training activities.
  9. Coordinate with the dual credit office to engage Tulsa high schools for participant outreach, recruitment, orientation, and follow-up.

Qualifications include:

  • Masters degree in workforce education, development, education administration or leadership, organizational management, or related field.
  • At least 3 years of project management experience.
  • Minimum 1 year of grant management experience, including reporting, compliance, and budgeting.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and facilitation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Excel, and database management.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize, and collaborate effectively.
  • 3 years of work experience in a community college setting and/or with underserved youth.
  • Valid drivers license for travel within Tulsa County and occasional out-of-state travel.
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds.

The position is based at TCC Northeast Campus with frequent travel to industry sites, high schools, and other campuses, including occasional evening and weekend work. The role requires proficiency in Spanish translation, CAPM or MPM certification, and a doctoral degree (preferred). Federal grant management experience is also desirable.
