Responsibilities Collecting, preserving, and analyzing evidence from crime scenes or other relevant locations. Preparing and maintaining documentation related to investigations. Providing expert testimony in court. Working with law enforcement, legal professionals, and other relevant parties. Staying informed about advancements and best practices in forensic science. Ensuring all investigative activities are conducted in accordance with legal and ethical standards. Consulting with clients to provide advice on forensic science matters. Qualifications Proven work experience in a forensic engineering or related field. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Possess professional engineering licensure Detailed understanding of forensic engineering principles and techniques. Ability to provide expert testimony in court. High level of integrity and adherence to professional and ethical standards. Degree in a variety of engineering sciences, or a related field. Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree in an Engineering field from an accredited University; PhD or Master's degree is preferred. 5+ years of experience preferred Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: PE license or ability to obtain PE license Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
