We are looking for an experienced Business Office Director to join our team in Lansing, Michigan. This is a long-term contract role that will play a pivotal part in shaping and strengthening the operational framework of our organization. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in organizational leadership, strategic planning, and administrative oversight. Responsibilities:
• Provide high-level administrative leadership, ensuring efficient operations across programmatic and administrative functions.
• Supervise and support team members, offering coaching and guidance to foster growth and productivity.
• Collaborate on organizational structure assessments, identifying areas of improvement and proposing strategic solutions to address gaps.
• Develop and implement frameworks for financial oversight, human resources, and administrative processes.
• Lead strategic engagement initiatives, including external communications and stakeholder relations, to advance organizational goals.
• Oversee the identification and resolution of bottlenecks within approval and decision-making processes.
• Conduct gap analyses to pinpoint pain points in organizational systems and recommend actionable improvements.
• Support the development of policies and procedures that align with strategic priorities and operational needs.
• Provide expert guidance on organizational leadership, ensuring alignment with long-term objectives.
• Facilitate network engagement and convenings to strengthen partnerships and collaborative efforts.• Proven experience in organizational leadership, with a focus on higher education or similar industries.
• Strong background in strategic planning, including the ability to assess and build operational frameworks.
• Expertise in financial oversight, human resources, and administrative management.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise and coach staff effectively, fostering a positive team environment.
• Excellent communication skills, with experience in external affairs and stakeholder engagement.
• Proficiency in conducting gap analyses and implementing organizational improvements.
• Familiarity with designing and implementing organizational policies and procedures.
• Ability to work on-site in Lansing, Michigan, with flexibility for hybrid arrangements as needed.
