Arabic Teacher Opportunity

Language Trainers is a successful language training company working with freelance teachers of 70 different languages in hundreds of towns and cities across the world. Students are either in-company or self-funded who need to learn a language at their office or their home for work, family or travel reasons. One of our clients in Oakland, CA (ZIP 94597) is seeking one-to-one General Modern Standard Arabic lessons.

Course Details:

• Student Location: Preferably lessons held at the teacher's office in Oakland, but student may choose to have lessons at home in Walnut Creek.
• Duration: 32 hours total
• Session Length: 2 hours per lesson
• Frequency: 2-3 lessons per week (primarily Tuesdays and Thursdays, with possible additional Fridays or Saturdays on some weeks)
• Start Date: Around mid-July / ASAP
• Estimated Level: Beginner
• Focus: Reading, writing, alphabet recognition, basic conversational skills
• Motivation: The student recently graduated with a history degree focusing on modern Middle East history and wants to prepare for graduate studies involving Arabic.
• Student's Native Language: English
• Important Notes: Client prefers a location close to Walnut Creek area (ideally near Oakvale Road). The student is available all day Tuesdays and Thursdays, preferably between 12 PM and 4 PM.

Be a native Arabic speaker of the language OR hold a teaching degree

Have experience as a language teacher, translator or interpreter

Have a valid working visa

Live up to 20 miles from the client's location.

Location of the classes and schedule could be flexible based on your and the client's availability. The hourly rate is negotiable depending on qualifications and experience. This is a freelance part-time position and we are not able to sponsor your visa.
